Ecco Domani 1999
Italian Merlot
just opened the bottle and was impressed at how good the cork came out. The corkscrew
went in easily and the top was nicely crisp texture-wise ... there wasn't even a hint
of crumbling or sticking and the cork was moist halfway up the body, slightly
purplish even up there ... and the color change was smooth ... a 3 minute sip
revealed a really nice classic merlot flavor ...
have a few "Baby Bel" cheeses in the red-wrap .. and a pack of saltines .. my god,
they're good! perfect texture ...opening the cheese now ...
mmmmm
watching a Letterman rerun ... and I haven't seen the monologue before LOLOL
prepping for a 4-day weekend, so I can have wine tonight.
15 minute sip ... hmmmm, I duunno ... maybe the flavor will come back
11:47pm
nicer flavor now .. starting to feel relaxation from couple sips
first blog entry
LOL ok
12:09am ... the flavor seemed to have actually "peaked" just a few minutes
after opening ... and settled into a 'calmer' tenor, which, well ... is nice, but
lacking that fresh spicy Merlot edge
probably aged past its peak .. hmmm .... maybe need to inbibe........................ some of those other Merlots
hard to really focus while blogging and tv-watching and cracker-eating and winedrinking ... "life is soooo tough" lololol
